News: Scrubs for Dr. Grays Hospital Project – Opportunity to get involved and help our NHS

MWH Admin TeamNews

We are of course all incredibly grateful to our NHS in these scary times. Thankful that they continue to work tirelessly around the clock to help save lives and putting their own lives at risk just now with all that is going on.

Here at the Hub we join in each week with the #clapforourcarers to show our appreciation but we are always looking for ways to give further support. We are delighted to share some news with you that recently made it’s way into our inbox.

Scrubs for Dr. Grays Hospital Project

The Moray Scrubs Team were inspired by the Shetland Scrubs Project (see Shetland Scrubs on Facebook) who are recruiting volunteer stitchers from the community to make scrubs for their local hospital, as a response to Covid-19.

They have had great advice from Shetland, including sharing their pattern and have been liaising with Dr Grays Hospital who are delighted to have this community support. If you are interested in helping with the ‘Scrubs for Dr. Grays’ project here is some information on how to get involved:

Please read the attached guidelines carefully before you begin. Scrubs guidelines

A link to the printable patterns can be found here: https://www.healthyshetland.com/health-and-social-care-staff/shetland-scrubs

If you have no access to a printer, there are a limited number of postal packs due to be ready shortly – please get in touch if you need one morayscrubs@gmail.com.

There is a network of drop-off points across Moray for the scrubs once they are ready – please get in touch when you have some ready and you will be advised of your nearest one. The Moray Scrubs Team will also endeavour to collect any from people who cannot get to a drop-off point.

They are running this project on a voluntary basis, so please be patient with them (particularly in the early days!) as they get up and running.

Thank you so much for your interest and support for this project.
