EVENT: tsiMoray Community Engagement, Thursday 25th November 2021, 2pm-4:30pm

MWH Admin TeamEvent, News

A participative event to shape the ways and means to ensure our communities voices are heard and our communities actions supported.

We at tsiMORAY are particularly keen to ensure that community engagement is recognised as going beyond the narrow confines of consulting communities on decisions and actions to be taken by public agencies.

We want to see community engagement working in the other direction too, recognising that we, as citizens and communities, already do amazing things for the common good, and that we need to be supported in doing that. And that we can be supported in a many different ways, from something as simple as acknowledging and appreciating our contribution, to removing obstacles and providing resources.

The event is intended to explore and set out our (third sector) collective expectations and aspirations regarding community engagement with public sector partners, who are currently reviewing their approach to it. It is a key opportunity to influence future support available to help us realise the plans and aspirations of our communities.

The programme includes short presentations from groups already making a difference in their communities, intended to inspire participants and to prepare us for the workshops planned for the main part of the event.

The questions we are planning to explore during the workshops include: What are you doing / trying to do in your community? What’s hindering you? What support did / would help you?

Please join us to help us shape the ways and means to ensure our communities voices are heard and our communities actions supported.
