NEWS: MWH Director Team Changes and Strategy Launch

MWH Admin TeamNews

First of all, Rachel Birch, who has been with Moray Wellbeing Hub as a Director since September 2020, is leaving to pursue new opportunities within her paid and voluntary work.

Rachel has been key in driving the formation of our strategy and encouraging conversation around diversity, among many other things in her tenure.

Despite moving on to new opportunities, Rachel will remain a Champion and is looking forward to taking an active role in MWH in a different capacity. We wish her all the best in her new endeavours.

Secondly, we are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Director – Joel Borseth.

Joel has been a champion at the Moray Wellbeing Hub from 2016 and started his career path when he founded the Moray College Student Peer Support Group with support from Hub members.

He has since had extensive experience working in Peer Support and delivering Mental Health training, driven by his enthusiasm to provide people with greater awareness of mental health and confidence to support others.

As an individual who enjoys mediating discussions, he is always looking for different perspectives to find new methods and solutions to practical problems or ongoing issues in his local community. Now living in Forres with his wife, when he isn’t running around the town for his physical and mental wellbeing, he will be pursuing his passion of writing fiction.

Lastly, we still have a vacancy for a Non-Executive Director to join the team.

It is a time of growth and development at Moray Wellbeing Hub, and we are excited to launch our new strategy which you can read here. Now, we are looking for a new Director to join us with a specific interest in the area of Finance.

As well as sitting alongside the other Directors and working on areas such as governance and business planning, this role would take a specific view on our Finance operations and planning.

We accept all applications from proactive individuals who would like to be part of this growing social enterprise.

How we work

The Director team lead the company as a ‘teal’ or self-managing team. We embrace the opportunity to express the peer-values of mutuality, authenticity and intentionality through the governance process as well as in every aspect of delivery.

All Directors are visible Champions, using their personal experience of life challenges to lead and make strategic decisions.

This recruitment is for non-executive roles, volunteering on average around 3 hours a week.

Please get in touch by email entitled ‘Non-Exec Director Recruitment’ to express your interest to millie@moraywellbeinghub.org.uk
