EVENT: Parent Wellbeing Toolkit, 7-week Online Course, Fridays from 26th August-7th October, 10:30am-11:30am

Free and open to any parent or carer in Moray

These hourly sessions will be facilitated over 7 weeks on Zoom. Offering a holistic approach to compassionate self-care that will support you through the challenges of difficult emotions and give you a space to share your successes. Each weekly, hour-long session offers a safe space to check-in, a reminder to ‘Fill Your Cup’ (looking after yourself), feedback and ‘experiential learning’.

Tools that you will be introduced to include: Breathing Techniques, Visualisations, Finger Holds to process and release emotions, Mindfulness, Movement, Reflexology, Story Massage, Acupressure Points and Emotional Freedom Technique.

Session 1 – Aim: to get to know each other, give overview/forms. Breathing Techniques – to promote calm
Session 2 – Visualisations – Aim: to create a safe/calm place
Session 3 – Finger Holds – Aim to aid emotional intelligence
Session 4 – Gentle Movement – Aim: to have fun, promote calm, focus and concentration
Session 5 – Reflexology/Massage/Acupressure points – Aim: to promote self-care
Session 6 – EFT Emotional Freedom Technique – Aim: to aid emotional intelligence
Session 7 – Mindfulness – Aim: to increase self-awareness of being in the moment. A summing up of all the tools and evaluation of the course – to reflect and decide which tools (if any) you might choose to take forward into the future, and options for further peer support group courses

Your facilitator will be Johanna, from Parent Network Scotland (PNS) who host these groups
