Action for Children’s AB56 Employment Support Service are beginning to deliver their 6-week Introduction to Early Learning & Childcare Courses
The course will be delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams, with classes running from 9.30am until 12.30pm Monday-Thursday, with the first due to take place 4th July – 11th August.
The course gives participants an introduction to childcare and employability-related topics such as:
Child development
Child protection
CV Writing
Interview skills
Health & safety
Legislation & policy
The course is targeted towards individuals considering a future in childcare, teaching, social services, or other child-related fields who have experienced barriers to entering employment or further education and is geared towards young people aged 16-25.
Spaces are still available on our July/August course – please get in touch as soon as possible if you know of a young person who may be interested, or individuals can contact us directly to secure their place. When full, applicants will be placed on a waiting list for courses later this year, due to take place in Sep-Oct and Nov-Dec. Whilst our summer course will be held online, future courses may be face-to-face, or a blend of in-person and virtual learning.
