Health & Social Care Moray is urging residents to check their cupboards and sheds for equipment issued by the Occupational Therapy (OT) Service that is no longer needed.
Hundreds of items are currently on loan in the community – this includes things like toilet frames and raised toilet seats, bed leavers and over bed tables, kitchen trollies, shower stools and commodes.
Many are no longer being used and risk ending up in landfill when they could easily be recycled and safely reissued to another resident to help them regain or maintain their independence.
