EVENT: Free ‘Art In Nature’ Workshop, Saturday 11th September 2021, 2pm-5pm

Escape into another world!!

Moray Art Centre in partnership with Wild things! Environmental Education in Action, Moray Wellbeing Hub and artist Iona Leishman Art invite you to attend a FREE workshop to promote calm and boost your mental health, on Saturday 11th September 2pm-5pm.

Spending time in nature and turning our minds to creativity can help us feel more positive. No art experience necessary – just turn up and give it a go!

You may be experiencing post-lockdown nerves, dealing with long term mental health issues or feeling anxious – come with us into the woodlands and dunes around Moray Art Centre in Findhorn to engage with nature and see those creative juices flow; to Escape Into Another World.

Wild Things will set the scene to help us appreciate the creatures, habitats, sights and smells of this beautiful environment. Artist Iona Leishman will then help us create joint or individual pieces using found objects and arts materials based on our experience of the outdoors. All abilities welcome from absolute beginners to seasoned artists.

This workshop is completely free and you can take home any piece you make – or leave it at Moray Art Centre to be part of a collection to be shown in one of our gallery spaces.

For further details and to register your place just email admin@morayartcentre.org (Subject: Art In Nature Workshop). We hope to roll out workshops for all ages in the future but this event is for those 18 years old and above.
