MWH Admin TeamEvent, News

Date: 18 March 2021
Time: 1-2pm
Location: Online

On 18 March 2021, Iriss will host a one-hour session (1-2pm) that will explore terminology, historical understanding and the relationship between social work and Gypsy/Traveller communities, as well as social work’s role in challenging ‘othering’ in rural communities.

It will introduce solution-focused approaches to positive engagement and reflect on lived experience of inclusive practice, providing a safe space for conversation and ensuring attendees have every opportunity to ask questions and challenge their pre-conceptions.

Speakers include Annie Bryant, a criminal justice social worker based in Dumfries and Galloway, and Davie Donaldson, a Nawken – Scottish Traveller – advocate and social justice campaigner. Register now.
