With a New Year comes new hope and ideas and Findhorn Bay Arts are ready to start the year by “making creative things happen in Moray” with a new project that will bring light to the dark winter nights.

Imagine walking around your streets at night and seeing your local neighbourhood in a whole new light. Window Wanderland is an award-winning, COVID-safe and fun community arts project that started in Bristol in 2015 with amazing results.

Findhorn Bay Arts will host this unique event over Valentine’s weekend and would like to invite you to be part of this magical window artwork trail in Forres to celebrate LOVE is…  on Friday 12, Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February.

Kresanna Aigner, Creative Director, Findhorn Bay Arts said: “In these challenging times, we wanted to bring some light to the dark winter nights and what better way to do this than through an arts project that everyone can do, safely from their own home, using material and card that are lying around. It’s a wonderful and fun activity for families, and individuals to do over the next few weeks. Over Valentine’s weekend, all participants will turn their lights on to illuminate their artworks for local people to enjoy while exploring our neighbourhood’s outdoor galleries safely.”

Everyone can take part by transforming your house, business, school, and street into a magical outdoor gallery with a window-based artwork.

You don’t need to be artistic to take part … it can be simple or spectacular… anything goes… as long as it’s family-friendly. You might consider what love means to you; whether it’s fun family moments, friendship, being part of your local community in a meaningful way, supporting someone in need, your beloved pets, what you love about living in your town, or it could be caring for the environment, a plant or garden, the Moray coast or nature around you.

Taking part is FREE and everyone of ALL ages are welcome to participate. You can use the windows of your flat, house, business, school, nursery, car, camper van, shop. It doesn’t even have to be windows, you can also use your front door, the front of your house, your front garden.
