NEWS: Abelour’s Urgent Assistance Fund, providing cash grants for families suffering extreme hardship.

The Aberlour Urgent Assistance Fund can award cash grants to assist children and young people (aged 21 and under) across Scotland, and their families, who are suffering extreme hardship, including the impact of the Coronavirus.

This support is usually via cash grants to assist with a range of needs, such as food, prepay power cards, clothing, bedding, or other essentials. Please note, available funds are limited and all applications will be evaluated against evidence of a family’s financial status.

To qualify for cash grants from the Trust:

  • There must be a child in the family who is 21 or under.
  • That child must be suffering extreme hardship.
  • A family can receive one grant per financial year.
  • Grants are made at the discretion of the Trust.
  • A sponsor must submit a fully completed and legible application on an official application form

There is also a small amount of money that can also be accessed to support outdoor play – for outdoor clothing or play equipment, such as waterproof or outdoor jackets, wellies, etc so if there are families who require this please apply in the same way but ensure that you identify it is for Outdoor Play.

To apply for a grant, please download the Aberlour Urgent Assistance Fund application form.

Please note that as of 23 March 2020 they are no longer able to accept paper copy applications, so please email your completed application form to urgentassistance@aberlour.org.uk.

If you have any enquiries about the fund, please email us.  They will respond as quickly as possible can but anticipate high levels of demand so your patience is appreciated!
