MWH Admin TeamNews, Training

The subject of suicide in males and mental health is getting much more publicity recently but male suicide is still the biggest killer of men in the UK under the age of 45! Much more needs to be done to address this, here the collaboration of Alliance, Brother’s in Arms and Thrive Therapeutic Software have a discussion based on questions asked by real issues faced by real people!

The ALLIANCE invites you to listen to a recorded conversation between Dan Proverbs, Founder of men’s mental health charity Brothers in Arms and Andres Fonseca, CEO of Thrive Therapeutic Software.

The conversation’s focus will centre around male mental health and the statistic that male suicide is the single biggest killer of men in the UK under the age of 45. Through the partnership between Brothers in Arms and Thrive, a wealth of new data has emerged as to how and when men in Scotland are accessing support and what encourages them to do so. Through answering questions submitted by ALLIANCE members and stakeholders, Dan and Andres will seek to explore the issues lying underneath this statistic and highlight groundbreaking research and support now available.

This conversation will be published as part of the ALLIANCE  Annual Conference – Vision: reimagining the future of health and care, taking place between 7th and 11th September 2020.

Audiences can watch the conversation on the ALLIANCE’s IGTV channel
