NEWS: Fair Start Scotland

MWH Admin TeamNews

The recent COVID 19 situation has been difficult on many people and the devastating impact this has had on jobs and the increase of the amount of people accessing Universal Credit. TRIAGE is available to help and support people move back in to work though the Fair Start Service.

Fair Start Scotland is the Scottish Government Employability service. It is a voluntary service designed to help people move in to work within 12 months.

During a participant’s time on Fair Start they will work towards goals on an individual action plan that will ultimately support them in to work.

Every participant’s journey will look different due to the personalised approach of the service but typically we can help participants:

  • Recognise their skills
  • Create and update CVs
  • Prepare for interviews
  • Complete application forms
  • Find opportunities to help them gain skills and experience
  • Find jobs which meets their needs

Once a participant has moved in to work, they will receive advice and support for up to 12 months.

Choosing to take part in Fair Start Scotland will not affect benefits.
