EVENTS: Interesting online events for carers and parents of children with disabilities or additional needs

MWH Admin TeamEvent, News

Contact, the charity for families with children with disabilities, is offering an online Sleep Session, 1st of July, 19:30-21:30pm via Zoom.

It is common for all young children to have sleep issues, but more common for children with disabilities and those with additional needs.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, it can be extra challenging to manage sleep for your child. This online workshop gives the opportunity to hear other parents’ experiences, learn new strategies and share as much or as little of your story as you wish.

Learning and engagement session on intelligent kindness in care – ALLIANCE’s Carer Voices Project, multiple dates in July, via Zoom.

For this networking event, members will hear from Carer Voices Project Lead Tommy Whitelaw on the importance of person-centred care and active listening across all roles and sectors. Taking key messages from the Carer Voices ‘You Can Make A Difference’ campaign, the ‘What Matters To You?’ movement and Chief Nursing Officer for Scotland’s vision, members will be invited to reflect on how they can make a difference through their practice.
