Iriss resources on the topic of abuse

Their Evidence Search and Summary Service has published two new summaries of evidence or Outlines, bringing the total in the collection to 34.

The most recent is on the topic of adolescent to parent violence and abuse (APVA), which covers definition, prevalence, causes, impact, parental experience, and support and interventions. It also includes a list of key papers.

The other, titled, Language in service provision surrounding abuse in Scotland, seeks to understand how we talk about abuse from a service perspective and explores what the current gaps are in provision.

Related Outlines include:

Safe and Together approach – a summary that seeks to address the impact of the Safe and Together model and what changes it can bring locally. They have also produced a short paper on the approach with insight from Andrea Davidson, Team Leader in a Children’s Social Work Practice Team, North West Edinburgh.

Older women and domestic abuse – explores what are effective interventions for older women experiencing domestic violence and abuse.

Children experiencing interparental coercive control – impact on children and effective interventions.
