News: Police Scotland youth engagement survey

MWH Admin TeamSurvey

Police Scotland is currently undertaking a youth engagement survey.

Police Scotland wants to listen to young people and learn about their views of the police, how we’re currently working and what we could do better. We want to understand the issues which affect young people and influence the way the police work, now and in the future.

“Police Scotland is committed to making it safe and straightforward for 12 – 18 year olds to report crimes, get information or advice, and give us their feedback. Our engagement strategy allows young people to express their feelings and opinions in relation to their own safety and contact with police.

Over the last few months, Safer Communities officers have been on site at TRNSMT, Tartan Heart, Belladrum and Party at the Palace festivals, engaging young people in relaxed conversations to get their view of the police, explain how they can stay safe online and to learn about the key issues facing them.  Even scottish music superstar Lewis Capaldi was at TRNSMT lending his support to our youth engagement initiative.

If you are 12-18 years of age, and would like to complete our surevy, which closes on 1 December 2019, you can do so through the following link. https://consult.scotland.police.uk/strategy-insight-and-innovation/young-people-engagement.
