Activity: Nature Walks for Wellbeing

MWH Admin TeamNews

Nature 4 Health” have organised fantastic Nature Walks for people in the Inverness area every Thursday at 1.30pm, throughout September to October.

Nature Walks for Wellbeing are 90 minute sessions that use nature walks to provide mindful nature-based therapy to those suffering from mental illness, and those just taking care of themselves.  Participants meet at a pre-determined location in Inverness, with different leaders each week to provide varied activities.  The sessions emphasise experience in and benefiting from, nature.  Art, storytelling, poetry, nature tracking and wildlife watching may form part of the session and mindfulness activities are a regular focus.  As part of the walk, the group have tea made on a fire with home made flapjack and the chance to chat together in a beautiful natural spot.
