From time to time we will mention an event further afield in case folk are keen to travel. Champions wishing to attend these events can apply to the hub for travel expenses support in many cases, in return for feeding back with a reflection about the trip to share with others in Moray.

The key aim of this conference is to find out why integration of services matters, why and how integration makes a difference, what are the challenges and how are these overcome, how the 3rd sector is engaging with integration and why that matters.

The morning session will focus on children with disabilities and their families. We are delighted to be joined by a panel of parents and practitioners including; Jim Carle, Chair of Disabled Children and Young People’s Advisory Group (DCYPAG), Jennie Miller PAMIS, Jo Hughes, Down’s Syndrome Scotland and Marie Oliver from Voluntary Action South Ayrshire.

The afternoon session will focus on parents with learning disabilities with input from Andy Miller Scottish Commission for Learning Disability (SCLD), David Barr Aberlour and People First.
