News: Support for those with newly diagnosed Multiple Sclerosis

Jim McCullochNews

This is an exciting piece of news for those living with recently diagnosed MS, within the last five years. The MS Society Scotland is offering chat sessions to share experiences and explore the different ways there are to live well with MS.

Our face-to-face sessions in Scotland run over 2 half days in local venues. Our virtual sessions are delivered across the UK and cover 4 modules, one a week, on the same day, at the same time.

These sessions are specifically designed to support those who have been newly diagnosed with MS (within the last 5 years) and are an opportunity for people to chat, reflect on and share their experiences around their MS. People can connect virtually with others from the comfort of their own home and have the opportunity to stay in touch after the 4 week session ends through our online peer network. Details of our sessions can be found here on our website.

Please feel free to share with anyone you work with or support who has been diagnosed with MS within the last 5 years that you think may benefit.

If you have any questions about this service then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Coleen Kelly, Self Management Lead, on coleen.kelly@mssociety.org.uk or 0131 335 4050.
