News: Social security system to recognise the importance of dignity.

An article from the Scottish Community Alliance, published in their newsletter ‘Local People Leading’ states that, “preserving dignity looks like it is being built into the design of Scotland’s new social security system.

It is an innovative, community-run project which aims to combat food poverty and retain users’ dignity. For a small weekly charge, members get access to food donated by supermarkets and a local charity.
