News: Moray Reach Out seek donations support for new ventures

Jim McCullochNews

Moray Reach out (MRO) have let us know the fantastic news that in March they received a grant of £44,800 from the National Lottery Community Fund and £23,000 from the Robertson Trust towards building works at 23 East Church Street, Buckie.  In addition to this, the National Lottery Community Fund allocated them £78,453 to a 3-year post which will enable us to develop 2 new projects – spinning & upcycling.

Despite this great news, we find ourselves short of funding for all the building works required which come to £153,000 + VAT!  So we are on a mission to find further funding.  Additional applications have been made, so we’ll keep you posted on that via social media.

You can help too!  No donation is too small.  We will be featuring a donate button on our website so you too can help us reach our target.  You can donate to Moray Reach Out or run a fundraiser on our behalf.  Simply go to www.morayreachout.org.uk for details.  Go to the About page, then select Donate and click on Support Us.   If you love shopping online, you can register with Give as You Live as a supporter of Moray Reach Out.  With every online purchase you make to numerous online retailers, MRO will benefit and it won’t cost you anything extra!

We will be bag-packing at Tesco’s Buckie and are one of the Bags for Life contenders during May & June at the Buckie store.  Please vote for us, using your tokens when shopping!  There will be coffee mornings and open days throughout the year.  We look forward to seeing you at those.  Follow us on Facebook for more details.
