The new Insight from Iriss, authored by Gail McMillan of Strathclyde University, has a look at what exactly participation in health and social services means, and considers how this applies to what happens in practice.

“It is clear that participation is a priority for the delivery of high-quality health and social services. Policy such as the Health and Social Care Delivery Plan (Scottish Government, 2016) and 2020 vision set out for health and social care in Scotland (Scottish Government, 2013) have highlighted the need for participation in health and social care in Scotland.”
