Survey: Invitation to be a part of a Focus Group exploring the effects of Gambling, Marketing and Advertising on Children, Young Adults and Vulnerable People

MWH Admin TeamNews, Survey

Gamble Aware are funding a research project lead by ScotCen Social Research into exploring the effects of gambling, advertising and marketing on adults with an experience of mental health problems, those who have had an experience of problem gambling, and young people (aged 11-24). It is known that gambling can affect people’s mental health and very little work has been done to gain the views of people who have experienced challenges to their mental well-being in relation to the effects of gambling.

Champions of the Moray Wellbeing Hub are invited to be a part of a possible focus group; no prior knowledge would be needed to take part and all participants would receive a voucher for giving up their time.

This research is being carried out because there is currently no research in the UK looking specifically at the effect of gambling marketing and advertising on these groups. The findings from the research will be used to inform policy in this area in the future.
