MWH Admin TeamNews

A culture of stigma and discrimination around mental health is still a issue for teachers, staff and pupils in schools, a problem that See Me Scotland hopes to challenge through a new new free resource pack called ‘What’s On Your Mind?’. It support schools to learn about mental health, to develop the skills and confidence to tackle the stigma and discrimination in schools along with the wider community that also impacts school staff, pupils and teachers alike.

The pack includes activities designed to last around a hour, with content that includes:

  • A common language that is understood by teachers and young people
  • Symptoms of mental illness and what to look out for
  • Asking for support – what to say, who to ask
  • Signposting for help

You can find more information about the resource on the Scottish Recovery Network’s website and register to download the pack here.
