Event: Partnership for Action on Drugs in Scotland (PADS) – November 9th Glasgow

AdminEvent, News

The Partnership for Action on Drugs in Scotland (PADS) are hosting the second national gathering of recovery communities on November 9th in Glasgow.

This year they want to bring together activists from addiction, mental health recovery and grass root community groups from all over Scotland. They are inviting friends and family, allies and supporters too! PADS are asking the question – how can we create more flourishing communities in Scotland together? So if you have a yen to build community, to help others do that, or even to see our communities flourish, then get along.

Join hundreds of grassroots activists from across Scotland and Europe sharing their work, their ideas and inspirations. Together they will build knowledge and apply the practices of strength based approaches to our own community challenges. Contributors will include Monica from the San Padrigano community in Italy, Lucy from the online Soberistas recovery community, Joo Jo Kyei inventor of the Inspirado recovery game and Ayrshire well being community, River Garden Project. Many other bright ideas and groups will be sharing their inventions and work in the hall of reflections at the event. Spoken word artists will also be performing at points throughout the day.
