This week organisations from across Moray have created events to encourage people in Moray to think more about their mental health. This year the theme set by the lead organiser the Mental Health Foundation is ‘Stress’, something that many of us are all too familiar with as being bad for our lives.
Many people misunderstand ‘mental health’ to mean ‘mental illness’ and, as a result, perhaps don’t take the action they need to to have the best life. However, it’s not difficult to do something that helps both you and those you care about, and this week’s Moray events showcase a few of those available all year round.

During the week Moray Wellbeing Hub, Elgin Youth Café, REAP Scotland, NHS Grampian, Penumbra and the Phoenix Centre will be getting people talking about mental health and exploring steps to help protect yourself from stress such as eating healthily, being active, taking time out and being mindful.
Most activities are free of charge. See the timetable for full details.
