News: Creating twiddle muffs for dementia boosts wellbeing for Moray crafter

Here’s a little story to celebrate the contributions of a wonderful woman.

This is Peggy who lives in Portnockie with her little dog Mollie. Peggy has always loved knitting and was once part of a collective of crafters where she sold lots of her knitted goods in Skye. Since having bad arthritis in her shoulder Peggy has found it difficult to knit but thought she would give it a try after spotting the pattern for ‘Twiddle Muffs’ in a magazine. She managed to find a position in her arm chair to knit 10 of these beautifully coloured creations to donate to individuals with dementia. These will now be distributed in Moray.

Amazing work Peggy!
