News: Scotland’s New Mental Health Strategy 2017-2027

The Mental Health Network in Greater Glasgow, MHNGG, want to tell us that Scotland has a new mental health strategy that will last ten years and will be looked at bi-annually.

MHNGG want to tell groups about it so that for the next ten years they can keep asking people with a lived experience and carers ‘WHAT DIFFERENCE HAS IT MADE?’ To enable them to do this they would like to come out to groups and talk about the strategy in an accessible way (it’s pretty big) and ask for your opinions and experience around your mental health care and support.

Over the ten years they want to be able to evidence the progress made and look at the issues which may have hindered this. The sessions take about an hour and are fairly interactive, they will ask for the group’s views and experiences at several points during the session in order to gain a sense of what is good and not so good about the mental health support available in Scotland.

MHNGG will also feedback any work they do around this topic at intervals. Interested? Contact Gordon on 0141 550 8417 or e-mail gordon@mhngg.org.uk
