A new social security assessment process for Scotland: the views of seldom heard people

ALLIANCE (Health and Social Care Alliance, Scotland) would like to announce that the final report from the consultation with seldom heard people in Scotland about a new social security assessment process is now available.

They consulted with seldom heard people around Scotland. 238 people took part in the online survey and 97 people participated in 14 focus groups.  There’s already been a great deal of interest in the report, including from the Scottish Government, and ALLIANCE hope to have more engagement with them as their plans for the new social security system develop.

You can read more about the report HERE.

The ALLIANCE have also published a ‘quickfire briefing’ following yesterday’s publication of the proposed Social Security Bill by the Scottish Government.  This is available to download for free here: Quickfire ALLIANCE briefing calls for greater accountability in Social Security (Scotland) Bill
