Events: FREE Moray Wellbeing Hub taster and seminar sessions across Moray this March for our 1st birthday!

AdminUncategorized

The Moray Wellbeing Hub is celebrating!

It’s a year since our project started and we want to reach as many people across Moray with opportunities to improve their wellbeing and build a more resilient future. All are welcome, including families, as mental health is a resource we all have and therefore we need to hear from you about want you need to help you get the most from life.

At each event we will have taster sessions of the courses we offer such as WRAP and Living Life to the Full, as well as tasters and information from local partners who run related activity in that area. We will have lots of our Champions on hand to chat about our work and creative ways to get you to share your networks to help others.

We will also have opportunities for you to have your say in creating new support groups in your area and share with you where we are on our journey toward opening our own physical hub in Moray.

This is a chance to explore how best to resource your emotional health and be more resilient, to connect with others who have similar experiences and share tips, to learn how to help the people you care about to have the lives they want to live.

We focus on wellbeing, not labels of mental or physical illness. We challenge the stigma that surrounds mental health and stops us from appreciating that it is a universal asset, all humans have mental health and it goes up and down over time. Illness, physical or mental, is just one area of crisis everyone faces in life.

We have six events this March: For details on how to reserve a space at each of the seminars, and times of taster sessions, please click on the links for each event. Registration is preferable as booked spaces will have priority over those who turn up on the day.

All events are 2pm-6pm drop-in and 6-8pm seminar (except Elgin). Please select the event you would like to find out more about and register your space / interest.

If you can’t make it ensure you sign up to our newsletter to hear about more events in the future and virtual ways you can get involved too.

If you have a group or run a service in that area get in touch and see if we can have you along with us as a partner on the day.

You can help us by promoting your local event in your community. Contact us and we can send you flyers and posters to share with your community. Contact us for the separate posters as files for each event or use this general poster available to download – March A5 Spotlight Advert(1) copy.

Seminar: “What can I do to help..?”

Many people worry about their knowledge and skills in mental health. As part of our approach to supporting people in Moray to have better awareness in wellbeing and building resilience to live life to the full, the Moray Wellbeing Hub are offering a series of seminars at our events in March.

These seminars, entitled “What can I do to help…?”, have been designed in partnership with volunteer coordinators at tsiMORAY and Moray Health and Social Care, and aim to provide a great foundation to grow your confidence in mental health regardless of your role and experience.
