Stephen Webb would like to invite you to his show that he is performing at Newbold House, Forres. It’s his recovery journey played out as a magical storytelling adventure. ‘feybairn!’ is an inspiring and hopeful tale aiming to brings hope to others. Stephen likes to think it demonstrates the power of storytelling, writing and performing as great allies on the recovery road. Earth for Life are delighted to let you know that they are launching another Moray-based Branching Out program (in and around Forres woodlands).  Their late12-weekeek outdoor wellbeing programme starts on Tuesday 8th August, and they are now inviting referrals for participants. BRANCHING OUT Branching Out is an innovative, award-winning programme for adults who use mental health services in Scotland.  For each individual, the service consists of around three hours of activities per week in a woodland setting, over 12 weeks. Activities are adapted to suit the group, site and time of year, and generally include: Physical activity, e.g. health walks and tai …

Glasgow School of Art, based at the Altyre Estate, are hosting a workshop on Preferable Mental Health Support and you are invited! Suggested dates are either Wednesday 12th, Thursday 13th or Friday 14th July. They could run the workshop from 10 – 1pm (including lunch at the end) or 12.30 – 3.30pm (starting with lunch). The Moray Peer Service have announced a series of POWWOW sessions for July. POWWOW’s are workshops on well-being.  Please note these workshops are taking place outside Elgin in different venues across Moray and are available to all people in the Moray community and not just people currently receiving support from the Peer Service. A group of people with a shared interest in a particular area of wellbeing come together to share knowledge and experience. Activity: Forres Area Credit Union’s Volunteering For Well-being project

The Community Solutions Fund from Foundation Scotland, has funded us to expand our volunteering scheme. Focusing on the Well-being of those wanting relief from isolation and/or loneliness, the volunteering experience will help folk learn new skills, make new friendships and enjoy again a feeling of self-worth and fulfillment. FACU is currently in its next developmental stage, expanding soon into new larger premises in Forres High St, and more volunteers are required, in addition to our current 25 who are already supporting their Credit union.
